Richmond is a metropolis that lies in the western Contra Coast county of California and serves as an inner community of San Francisco. Since the 1970s, it has been the place of busy industry as it has always been geared towards a more commercialized economy. Through the years, the city has been striving a great deal to revive their credibility away from being a community that has a high crime rate. Just like the cities in the coastal East Bay, Richmond enjoys in a mild Mediterranean climate for the entire year. The city is also home to a wide variety of species of animals from Canada geese, harbor seals and many more. Majority of the industries that are still sited as active in the city are those of gunpowder and dynamite works. For most visitors, many are attracted to its wide range of a shopping district. But nothing can beat the presence of the casinos that were proposed to be on its West Contra Costa section. Richmond City has also legalized marijuana and has passed legislation for eight dispensaries but remains to be the reason for making the city a controversial one. The city is also home to numerous parks and other attractions which include the Natural Historic Park on the lead. You can also find in the city the Point Richmond which is a village that is charming and has quaint shops inside. Other attractions that are worth visiting will be the USS Red Oak Victory ship, the Golden State Railroad Museum and many more.
