Des Moines is the capital city of the state of Iowa. It is known as the insurance capital of the nation and has also gained prominence in the publishing industry. For people who love doing outdoor activities, the Big Creek is a popular location for fishing, swimming and boating. Saylorville Lake is also a famous site for water activities. It has a shooting range and picnic facilities, and golf course and camping sites as well.
