Louisiana is the 25th state that is the most populous in the US and Baton Rouge is the capital. Louisiana is known for having mild winters and summers there tend to be hot and humid but the state does have some attractions that everyone might enjoy. Here are the top ten Louisiana attractions.

10. Blue Bayou and Dixie Landin'

Blue Bayou and Dixie Landin' is located in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Blue Bayou is the water park. The amusement park is Dixie Landin' and it's a little bit more traditional and a lot of fun. Both parks have thrill rides and many more exciting things to offer.



9. Baton Rouge Zoo

The Baton Rouge Zoo is located in Baton Rouge Louisiana. It has some awesome exhibits and some of those exhibits include the Otter Pond, Elephant Oasis and Parrot Paradise.



8. New Orleans Museum of Art

The New Orleans Museum of Art is located in New Orleans Louisiana. It's one of the oldest fine art museums that's in New Orleans. Back in the year 1911 it was established and known as the Delgado Museum of Art.

Six Flags New Orleans is located in New Orleans Louisiana. It was a very popular amusement park but it's been closed ever since Hurricane Katrina struck. Here's how it was like before the hurricane.



6. Aquarium of the Americas

The Aquarium of the Americas is located in New Orleans Louisiana and it's a very popular aquarium. Some of the exhibits include the Amazon exhibit, Caribbean reef exhibit and the Gulf of Mexico exhibit.



5. Audubon Zoo

The Audubon Zoo is located in New Orleans Louisiana. It has over 2000 animals and it covers around 58 acres. Some of the Audubon Zoo exhibits include the Louisiana swamp exhibit, gorillas and the orangutans.



4. Atchafalaya Basin

The Atchafalaya Basin is one of the best swamps that is within the US and it's located in the south central part of Louisiana. It has a combination of both a river delta area and of the wetlands where the Gulf of Mexico and the Atchafalaya River converge.



3. French Quarter

The French Quarter is known as one of the oldest neighborhoods that's within the city of New Orleans. Back in the year 1718 it was founded by Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville. In the year 2005 when Hurricane Katrina happened it was greatly affected by it.

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is located in New Orleans Louisiana and it was once known as the Louisiana Superdome.



1. University of Louisiana at Lafayette

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is located in Lafayette Louisiana and it's one of the highest enrollments of the nine campuses that's within the University of Louisiana system. It was founded back in the year 1898.
