Maine is a state that is located within the New England Region of the Northeastern US. Maine is known for its coastline that is rocky, its seafood cuisine and more so for their clams and lobsters. The waterways in Maine are very picturesque. Maine is a beautiful state to visit. Here are the top ten Maine attractions.

10. Maine Teen Camp

Maine Teen Camp is located in Porter Maine. It was established back in the year 1984. It's a teen camp for teenagers between the ages 13-17. It helps to promote a sense of friendship, community, leadership and personal growth.



9. Victoria Mansion

The Victoria Mansion is located in Portland Maine. It's also known as the Morse-Libby Mansion or either the Morse-Libby House. It's one of the landmark examples of the architecture in America. In the year 1971 it was declared as one of the National Historic Landmarks.



8. Seashore Trolley Museum

The Seashore Trolley Museum is located in Kennebunkport Maine. It's one of the world's biggest and oldest museums with mass transit vehicles. The collection at the museum mainly focuses on trolley cars.



7. Portland Observatory

The Portland Observatory is located in Portland Maine. It's the last maritime signal tower that is surviving that's within the US. It uses both signal flags and a telescope plus two way communication between the ships and the shores.



6. Farnsworth Art Museum

The Farnsworth Art Museum is located in Rockland Maine. It's an art museum that specializes in the American art. Some of the art collection includes artists such as Thomas Sully, Gilbert Stuart and Thomas Eakins.



5. Portland Museum of Art

The Portland Museum of Art is located in Portland Maine. Back in the year 1882 it was founded as the Portland Society of Art and it's one of the oldest public art institutions that's in the US. It has over 17,000 object items and fine art that dates back from the 18th century to the current present.



4. Funtown Splashtown USA

The Funtown Splashtown USA is located in Saco Maine. It's a family owned amusement park. Some of the funtown rides include the Balloon Race, Bumper Boats, Dragon's Descent, Antique Cars, Barney Oldfield Roadsters and the Thunder Falls Log Flume.



3. Hadlock Field

The Hadlock Field is located in Portland Maine. Its home to the Portland Sea Dogs and it's also home to the Deering High School Rams baseball team.



2. Bay of Fundy

The Bay of Fundy is located on the Atlantic Coast that is part of North America. Some people feel that the word Fundy stands for the French Word Fendu which means split. Back in 2009 it was named as one of the finalist for the New 7 Wonders of Nature but it was not picked as one of the wonders.



1. Acadia National Park

The Acadia National Park is located at Bar Harbor Maine. It reserves a lot of the Mount Desert Island and it's one of the islands that's smaller off the Atlantic coast. The park has an ocean shoreline, mountains, lakes and woodlands.
