Somerville is a city that is placed in the country of Middlesex in the U.S Massachusetts. It is located in the northern part of Boston. The city had a total population of 77,478 according to the 2000 census that is why it was considered as the most solidly populated municipality in New England. It was also proclaimed as the country’s 17th most densely populated city in Massachusetts. In the year 1842, it was recognized as a town when it was alienated from the Charlestown. The city of Somerville was also the recipient of the All-America City Award. This place is a fast growing city because of its active business and entertainment centers. The economic situation in this city is very much stable. Some of the establishments are the Magoun Square, Ball Square, Davis Square, Teele Square, Powder House Square, Inner Belt District and the Assembly Square. Seven Hills are also located in this city including the Cobble Hill, Central Hill, Clarendon Hill, Spring Hill, Mount Benedict, Winter Hill and the Mount Pisgah. Public schools in the city of Somerville also operate. It consists of 11 schools including the East Somerville Community School which was temporarily closed because of the fire incident in the year 2007.
