About Keizer, Oregon
Keizer city is found in Marion County in the United State of Oregon. It was named after John Brooks Keizer who came together with Thomas Dove in this place in 1843. The city is known for its vibrant culture and music. In the month of May the annual Iris festival is held in order to show case the growing industry of iris. This festival attracts numbers of visitors every year for its colorful display of iris flowers. Iris has up to 300 species and most of them are hybrid. The most attractive types of these flowers are displayed in parades and booths. This celebration includes beer garden, crafts, foods, music, parades, and vintage car show. Visitors who are interested in knowing the culture and history of this city can visit the Keizer heritage Museum which in the Keizer Heritage Community center. It showcases some of the oldest and most treasured relics that describes the memorable past of this city. Inside the same building the Keizer Community library, the Keizer chamber of commerce and the Keizer Art Association can be found. This strategic plot of location makes it easy for visitors to come from one site and another. Visitors can enjoy boat-in camping, sports courts, play grounds and trails in the Keizer Rapids Park. Outdoor activities such as these are well appreciated in the fresh and cool atmosphere of this park. The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes is a minor league baseball team. They have their own stadium called Volcanoes stadium which hosts baseball games and events all year round.
