After Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville, Chattanooga is considered as the fourth-largest city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Chattanooga is about 167 km to the northwest of Atlanta, Georgia, 190 km to the southwest of Knoxville, about 217 km to the southeast of Nashville and about 238 km to the northeast of Birmingham, Alabama. The Chattanooga City is surrounded by similar ridges and mountains. It is also composed of some establishments that render affordable goods and services. The city also offers a lower housing rate and that is why it was recognized as the 8th out of America’s biggest metro spots. Chattanooga is also heralded as “the scenic city” because of its stories of the appearances of ghosts that have been raised since its primary establishment. The city has shared a lot of ghost tales that are said to disturb the people that pass over the highways and lakes. The ghosts were said to be originated because of the great civil war. Reports on some unusual happenings related to ghosts are often heard in the city of Chattanooga. The awful moans and cries of dying individuals have been reported. Sometimes the sounds of gunfire are also heard and the smell of gunpowder is experienced. But not all the residents of the city believe in this mysterious story.
