Although the City is divided into three, Washington County take two-thirds of Johnson City. Johnson City is currently populated with about 61,990 people, with its ranking as the eighth largest city in the state of Tennessee. Johnson City has been awarded with lots of positive reactions because of the status quo it has. For example, the city focuses on their health program in the Johnson City Medical Center, ETSU’s Gatton College of Pharmacy and ETSU’s Quillen College of Medicine making it one of the best places for retired people to settle.
